You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

At home with baby.....

So, after three days and two nights in the hospital we were ready to come home! Mimi had been with the kids having lots of fun and we were ready to be outta there. Here are some of the few photos I have taken since we have been home.
Story about Scarlett's birth to come in a later post......

DAD and kids go to a Luau. (Cozy wasn't too excited about seeing or eating a pig cooking in the ground.)

Mimi comes to watch the kids!

Still lots of dark hair!

Scarlett is a good little sleeper! I never thought I would have a baby I would have to wake up to feed! Looks like she got my "sleep over eat" gene (hope it lasts)!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

It seemed wrong how late the kids got out of school this year...June 16th! The weather hasn't been so great so it didn't really matter too much to me!
The tradition is to have a slip n' slide (all but the yr. Atticus broke his leg), friends over, and popsicles, but it was SO rainy that we waited a day (it was still cloudy & cold).
This one was an awesome slip n'slide because it has a splash pool at the end, double lanes, and two boards!! I love it! BTW: Benny always TRYS to talk me out of it because they pop in a few days, cost 15-20$ and mess up the grass!
"Sometimes you just gotta go with what is right in your heart even if its going against the one you love!" ~my quote
I was SAD not to participate this year! I usually test it out first and show them how its done so they can maximize the experience.... that would be a sure disaster this time!

Is it Summer yet?

Detail of photos below.....
~Atticus & Adien
The school rents a ton of inflatable bouncy houses, slides, obstacle blow ups & a rock wall. The kids get to go by grades and go crazy for 2 hrs. I was able to get this photo while they were in line! Fun day!
~ Cozy has become my official water-er and gardener. The purple pot was a Mothers Day gift from Benny....beautiful A?
~ Bennys nurse Mel has taken the kids as her own grandchildren. These sandals were a gift from her from Hawaii. I wish they came in my size....I love them!
~Cozy (just as Atticus did at the same age) is into riding her tricycle! She loves to rope on her dolls!
~ This minus one girl is my big SUNBEAM class! I think this has been the biggest challenge in my physical state! Not a good mix to put a pregnant women with 5 girls and 1 boy and expect them to sit still (I can't even do that)!

Benny & Atticus

I have wanted to put photos up of their Daddy/Son Sailing and Camping adventure, but I am still waiting for the photos to be developed (disposable cameras).
Here is what "THE BOYS" are up too....

BENNY is very busy at work as usual. Any chance he gets he is sailing or thinking about sailing. I haven't been on the water since Long Beach only because I don't even feel steady on land and there is always enough movement going on for me with the baby. We are lucky to be able to do this within minutes of our house!
Paddle boarding is something I saw in Maui and it has slowly started here. As soon as I can (next summer) I think date nights for us will be sailing with Benny and me jumping ship with my board and paddle?!
Atticus caught the bug too and is his first mate! Both the kids like to go out on the water. Cozy always asks for the "non tippy boat".
Bennys second de-stresser or fun is Archery. He does this in the back yard almost every evening. Doesn't he make a stunning Robin Hood?

ATTICUS just got an award in his class for "the most improved" student! This kind of shows how stressful early winter was with me always throwing up and how I have been able to help him more with his homework this spring. He continues to get 100% on his weekly spelling tests! (I don't mean to be a bit prideful, but I feel like the award is a small result of the work I have been doing with him since I have felt better, can I say that?!) Plus he is a super smart kid with lots of potential!
He has also taken to his scooter like it's his baby. Even trying to get in a short ride before school. Atticus continues to make up clubs and "projects" and I have learned to just "ride that wave" and stand back and just observe.
