You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

for restlessRisa

These photos are for Risa who is always inspiring others in her home designs and other creative projects. Check her out from my list o' blogs.
I have been doing little things around the house to welcome spring. The knobs in the bathroom that are mix-matched were done a while ago. The kids bathroom has colorful glass knobs I found at Costplus World Market.
The kitchen Japanese lanterns Benny is still not so sure of, but I love them! I can flick on a switch to turn on lights under them at night and Scarlett is in awe. I also was asked if I hung them in respect for Japan. I think subconsciously I may have, but I think they add a little "spring" to my world!

March Madness (not basketball) !

A little behind in the events from March.....Hmmmmm, let's see what posts I have neglected. Atticus' rock'in Lego Ninjago party (best party yet!! No, serious!),
Our 13th anniversary date (got a speeding ticket and almost accused of being drunk by officer, hows that for LUCKY 13?),and a never ending 2 day Pinewood Derby that I am still trying to get over! March has always been a CRAZY month for us and I will spare you the stories from the past, just trust me!
Look forward to some of the photos from our MARCH MADNESS a little later, until then enjoy 3 sweet quilts made by Grandmommy! They are SO beautiful!!
Thank you Grandmommy we will treasure them forever!!

Happy Birthday ATTICUS!

We just got back from Texas (more photos to come) and this is a photo of our "2011 Birthday Party for Everyone". Thought we'd cover the whole family while we were all together (minus Amelia who was in Hawaii).
Atticus' birthday is actually today, but we will celebrate with a Ninjago Lego party on Saturday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!

These are just too funny! I told the boys at the aquarium to look scared. Then I told them to look like fish. Ansel didn't want to participate!
