You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

We heart our Siblings!

Both Benny and I had siblings come visit!!
AUNTIE LIZ~ My sister Liz just left and everyday Cozy says, "I miss Liz!" I think we ALL do! She is such a positive and giving person! We had a great time hanging out with her! She lives in Orange County CA and so for her to come to little Manson was a bit of a shock, I am sure. She was a great help the last day babysitting when at last minute I had doctor and hospital visits. After a month of thinking I had multiple UTI's, I found out I have kidney stones, but that's another post! Thanks Liz for coming and playing with us! WE LOVE YOU! (we watched lots of Little House episodes and found a print of PA and girls at our local BLACK DOG frame shop...photo below!)
UNCLE MATT~ Matt is one of my kids favorites! He is Benny's brother who lived with us a couple summers and so he understands the small town and actually loves it like us! The two MEN went on a 3 day adventure in the mountains and took ice axes and crampons! (photo is before they left!) They like to live on the edge so it makes me a little worried when they leave. "I don't want to be a single mom!" is what I tell them when they go! They had a memorable time!
We are looking forward to another sibling visit later this month when Benny's older sister Natalie comes from CHICAGO to relax in SUNNY LAKE CHELAN!
For now, I am trying to get over a cold, pass another stone (yes, t.m.i), and take advantage of the 2 days Benny has off and go escape in Seattle by myself. Why do these things happen when I need and can have some time off from my 24/7 job!? Rrrr....

The 4th of July in Kay'town

Okay, I know I'm a little behind, but better late than never, right?
First photo: At the parade in Kaysville on the fourth some older punks were trying to snatch the candy from the kids. My brother stood up to one of them and told them he'd give him some money to go buy his own candy. Then my sister-in-law Suzy said something like this, " Hey, in October there's this holiday that you can dress up and get free candy door to door...what are you going to dress up as?...A BIG baby!?" They are from Texas, my brother and his wife, so this guy was mess 'in with the wrong folks!
Other Photos include: Rolo cookies! and Mom's wonderful 4th of July berry salad,
(the food pics are especially for Shannon!), cousin time, miniature golf, root beer making, Scarlett with her first go-gurt!
