You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

MLK

I have promised the kids I would let them use my easel to paint some art for their rooms since forever. The MLK weekend was a great time! Here Atticus did kind of a montage with lego Ninjango dudes using modge podge. Cozy went with the more modern approach with lots of color and shapes. She had a hard time finishing up.
"Okay, your done. No, its time...."
Good times!!

Cozy's new room

We had picked a green paint before the baby was born and thought we'd add blue to it for a boy and purple if a girl. We finally got to painting and discovered "tart apple" was too TART!! Just standing next to the wall gave you a headache! We settled for a minty green and then decided to move Cozy in there instead!

Cozy really liked the crazy green!

Atticus and Dad paint over the TARTiness!

Its hard to really see it, but its a soft green that anyone could live with!

Now Cozy can appreciate her new room with some added purple!

Girls Night

The boys are in Seattle this weekend and so I took Cozy and her friend Rylee along with the baby to the Apple Blossom Selection night here in Manson. I have been for the past 3 years and thought Cozy would be old enough to appreciate it this year. Guess again!.......
First, I had to explain to the girls that they WERE NOT part of the "act", even though they were in matching dresses, and I guess I did go over "the wave" with them a bit much. They kept moving to different seats during the speeches and talking too loud. The people in front of me kept looking behind and giving me "the look". I was close to saying, "Come on lady, its not the Miss America Pageant...its Manson"...but I held my tongue! When it was the dance part the girls were both rocking out and people behind us couldn't see. Sitting through speeches and questions was just too much! I think they had a great time anyhow!
So, we made it through until intermission and then I was out of there! Okay, so what was I thinking to take a 6 mos old during her bedtime and two 4 year olds????
..........So who won???
