You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

New Favorite

I don't know how moms get anything done in a day! My baby likes to be held and talked to and looked at ALL DAY LONG. Atticus is a great help and will hold her and talk to her all sorts of rubbish for quite awhile until shes had enough. A social one she is!! I know I should cherish these moments and learn how to do things with one hand, but it really isn't realistic all of the time.
My sister-in-law Suzy introduced me to this blog that made me both laugh and cry when I thumbed through the photos. It was after a long day of Benny being on call and not home until 9:30pm. I was at my wits end and ready for a break! I think it made me cry because her baby was asleep and she was also being creative which is something I lack these days!
Have a looksy....

Hitch - It Is Not That Serious

I went to the chelan rodeo last night. My girlfriend was surprised that I had never been. I couldn't quite figure out WHY that was too since I am from Utah. I think I still have a bit of post pregnancy brain or sleep deprivation because half an hour through it I was rubbing my eyes, sneezing, and not able to breathe.
Oh right, I am highly allergic to horses and anything associated with them!!!
When I turned to Benny who was in back of me with the baby he said, "OH Haley you look horrible!!" It reminded me of the scene from HITCH (below)! If you haven't seen this movie you need to!! Besides the "learning how to dance" scene and this one....it is hilarious!
So, we quickly left and got to the car to get my inhaler and benadryl.
The baby slept through the night and so did I (or I think thats what happened)!!!!
Note to self: Skip the Rodeo next year!

BATH TIME

Baby Scarlett's first bath.
She has so many looks! She really hated it at first but then loved it!
She also hates the grocery store (I do too! If you've been to my house you can tell by the empty fridge!!)

My hollyhocks are crazy gorgeous this year! I love that the seeds are from my mom who got them from her mother who got them from her ancestors in England!

We grew butterflies from larvae and just as I hatched they did too. We let them go, but Atticus had a hard time letting all of them go.
