You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” ~Henry David Thoreau

Waiting for bees?!

This photo along with some others was taken LAST spring! I was also pregnant last spring same time (that is so crazy to me!) and missed the blossoming pear trees due to how sick I felt! I managed to take some photos of the kids & the apple trees and they of course remember running from the BEES! Hopefully when we come back from UT their might be a little pink to the valley and my pear trees will start looking white! The orchard down the street from me is MY patch of heaven with WHITE everywhere! You just have to catch it in full bloom!
I always look forward to that!! HAPPY SPRING!

No "SUGAR BUG" for me!

I did forget in the last post to mention that I LOVE my hubby, FORGIVE him for making me terribly mad, and THANKS for the sweet surprise!!! XOX

Just wanted to add one more exciting news.... I got my blood work back and I don't have gestational diabetes!! I know I have been over the top on this; cutting out sugar/carbs here and there, taking my blood sugar even though my "chill" OB told me it was unnecessary, walking when I really feel like hanging out by the toilet, etc. Those that have had this understand my hyper attitude! It is hard enough being pregnant let alone going on a diet and not being able to eat simple foods!
Maybe it paid off, maybe it didn't, but I am so GLAD for the results!
This doesn't mean Easter Candy will be eaten after each meal because I still feel sick when I eat chocolate let alone too much sugar! So, HURRAY!!

The best breakfast ever!

Friday night Benny was suppose to meet me at 7pm at the church for a RS date party.
I should know from 13 years married that I need to tack on a couple hours to whatever time he gives me, but I continue to be ignorant to his reality of time.
When I showed up for dinner the parking lot was full with cars and I realized I had the wrong time. This has become a trend for me the past months. I feel like I am constantly forgetting things and esp. numbers! Pregnancy Brain! Never had it this bad before. So, as I'm sitting there eating dinner I'm getting text messages that he will be even later! A service auction was being held after the dinner and Benny text me that he would like me to add in a "house call" for the auction for him. WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I am usually pretty use to going to things by myself, but this time I felt stood up! To make a long story short.... I out bid everyone with a major stink eye for my own husbands service because his time at home is more valuable to me then anything else I could have bought and I was mad! I was so steamed at him that night when he came home at 9:30 pm, kids in bed and all, that I told him if he wasn't home soon that the doors would be locked. Okay, you have to remember that I am pregnant and at my wits end! On top of all of that, I GAVE it to him even saying that a woman shouldn't have to wait for mother's day to get breakfast in bed! I still stand by that statement!
The next morning I slept in late and woke to breakfast in bed! Next to the fork was a car key to a honda pilot. This had been the BIG surprise that he had been working on all night. How can you be mad after that??

(By the way, this was a total shocker since we had decided we would try to make do with smashing 3 kids in the back of the subaru!)

Is March over YET?

Here are some photos from this weekends celebrations!! I was too busy to really get the pictures I wanted. Ya know, entertaining, feeding peeps, and being pregnant along with a sinus cold made it that much harder! WOW!!
We had a great time from Legoland in CA (visiting with Mark & Liz), Birthday gifts galore, Family & Friends in town for Atticus' Baptism,...etc. Glad we skipped the friend bday party! I guess we set it up for birthdays being BIG every 8 years!
This weekend auntie Mia is coming to play, Benny has started painting our room (no, I refuse to help!), and then we will end the month in Ut at my MOMS for Easter! March has always been a crazy month for us!
Maybe I will get some sleep in APRIL?
Thanks for all who came and traveled such long distances for this special weekend!! XOXOX

CA

Highlights: Benny had a conference two days in Long Beach and the kids and I played in the pool, ate sugary cereal, and watched Shirley Temple movies. We got to hang out with Mark and Liz which was the excuse to why we were there, we went to Legoland, sailed on the Ocean, and ate at Cheesecake factory twice! Shopping is always a bonus to any trip..so we did that too!!
Loved the coconut yogurt with raspberries at PINK BERRY! Have you been there???
Things I learned: Cozy is a thrill seeker (see photo of her on the free fall "Bug Bouncer"), Atticus is crazy about sailing almost as much as Daddy (scary, but he got to steer the boat and did a good job!) Benny really really likes karaoke and will do it anytime anywhere (see photo of him singing it out in the gameroom at Legoland).
Mark and Liz are going on 5 yrs of being married and they still seem like honeymooners! Major PDA!! ....but Good for them!!!
Below are a few of my favorite photos.....

TREATS

To do list (each day):
don't eat Chocolate (it makes me SO sick!)
I am living through others and eating some here and there and regreting it later.
Went to a Willy Wonka performance done by the local independent school and the mingle before was all done with chocolate desserts. I was strong and had a happy night!
I have also learned that peanut butter and red sauce is also on the "do not list".
Here are some of the treats I have been making.....

Leave it to my kid to decide to have a "birthday treat " for school be a craft. What ever happened to Popsicles, donuts, cookies or even cupcakes??
Atticus will be 8 on the 8th of this month and has decided to "help" make these cute little robots for his classmates! I guess I will be hiding the Family Fun magazine from now on!

Cozy and I get ahead start since we are leaving for CA tomorrow. Rolo eyes and either Mint Pattie or Twix feet. Cute little guys!

I have been behind in EVERYTHING this past month (and leaving my keys in strange places too). Made these at the end of the month and shared them with friends. At least I got it in during the right month, A?
Each were done in a yellow cake with real cream cheese frosting.
Flavor toppings: Chocolate cheerios, almond slivers, real coconut, walnut, blueberry, choco. chip and my favorite...cinnamon nutmeg! YUM!
