Ironically, rural America has become viewed by a growing number of Americans as having a higher quality of life not because of what it has, but rather because of what it does not have! ~Don A. Dillman
We enjoyed the weekend away in Seattle to see family (my sister) and friends, but realize each time we go how much we appreciate the simple place we live. I always love a good aggressive drive through the downtown streets of Seattle and to go and find "stuff" everywhere I possibly can. The smell of Seattle rain is always a memory in itself and it's always a wonder what all the people downtown do and how they spend their day. The kids were great travelers & we are happy to be home with lots of Spring Break projects to do. Dad will be the lone doctor at work this week and I am sure will stay very busy.
Photos from our weekend in Seattle~
~Snoquamie Falls for a pit stop on our way to Seattle. It started to snow flurry as we were leaving.
~Atticus & Cozy got to choose where to have lunch...hmmm, I wonder where that would be? Atticus told Cozy that you "get a kitty in the happy meal" so she, of course, went along with going there. This Mcdonalds outing is a big deal since our nearest crap food hole is 45 minutes away (we are glad of that!). I was surprised to see Cozy the non-meat-eater eat half of her hamburger...I guess she was hungry?! The adults ate elsewhere.
~We got to see lots of friends (Sorensens,Jensens & The Webers) and AUNT MIA! Lincoln Park on Sunday where Benny taught Mia the art of skipping rocks! Cozy went from saying Meana to Mia by the end of the trip!
